Feliz navidad!!

We had our first xmas as a family!!
It was fun cooking an all american dinner (Ham, yams, funeral potatoes, apple pie, pumpkin pie, rolls, salad, delivered eggs, and so on) and seeing Liam trying to figure everything out. We had my cousin Carlina over for the weekend and on xmas eve we had a couple friend of ours come over for dinner.
We opened one gift before going to sleep and Liam almost immediately put the wrapping paper in his mouth. When we showed him his gift (Thanks Grandma Shari for the cute pj's pants!) he also put it in his mouth! I think is his way of saying he likes it!!

On xmas day, we woke up at 10:30 am, so grateful Liam loves to sleep in!, and open the remaining gifts. We are so grateful for all the gifts you guys send us!! Liam loved each one of them, so much that he needed a nap in between opening the gifts :) Then the rest of xmas day we spent it watching all-american xmas movies. It was very fun!!

On another note, this xmas season, maybe because I'm a momma now, I have thought a lot about Mary having and raising Jesus. I think about how she felt having this baby all by herself in a barn, and then the responsibilities of raising the son of God. I truly believe that she was meant to be his earthly mother. I would have gone mad if it was me, especially in these times!!
I hope one day we all get to learn more about baby Jesus and the trials and joys of raising him.

Hope you all had a great xmas!! enjoy the pics!

Thanks everyone!!

He loves his toys at 3 months!

Someone needed a nap, to many new things.

3 months old. JUST REALIZED THIS DIDNT POST!!

A lot of things have happened since november 6th!!
Liam is now 3 months old and weighting 16.9 pounds and is 25 inches long!! He's on the 90% of weight and 95% of height, So is not all just chunky, he is tall too!!
He has learned to hold his hands together, bring them to his mouth too. He can grab a toy, and if you put a toy in front of him he reaches for it. When changing his diaper he tries to grab his feet but cant do it just yet.
He is teething and slobber is everywhere!!
He loves his daddy and recognizes us amongst other people.
He is truly a Kone child, since he has learn the art of screaming and loves to do it just because he can. He is excellent a tummy time and can seat down with help.

He met his grandpa in NJ for Thanksgiving and taught me that he has a pure mind and heart and I have to swallow my pride just to not take that away from him.

He also moved to his own room and has been sleeping in his crib for more than a week now. I cried the first night, I felt he was all grown up.
He is also turning, and because of this, we had our first accident. He was in the couch surrounded by pillows, I felt he was secured and left him for a minute while I made him a bottle. I heard him made a kind of "I'm not ok momma" sound and when I turned , there is not Liam in the couch!! Thank goodness, babies have guardian angels taking care of them and he landed on top of one of the pillows, and didn't even cried!!

So now we are preparing for our fist christmas as a family and cant wait to let you know about it!!
Enjoy his pictures!!.

I JUST REALIZED THIS DIDNT POST!! IM SORRY IS LATE BUT IS STILL CUTE ;)

Zoo!!

We took Liam to the Zoo for the first time Friday, taking advantage of a sunny day, and he loved it!! He slept for the beginning part of it, but he was awake and alert for the last half and he saw the cutest animals.
We saw elephants, a japanese bear, an american bald eagle, a red panda, tigers, which three of them are cubs, flamingos, ducks, a wolf, monkeys, chimps, frogs, snakes, crocodiles and much more.

Liam's favorite were the penguins. They were in mating season and making the mating sound or "singing" and Liam tried to mimic the sound. It was the funniest thing! he's only two months and he tries to mimic everything he sees after he has studied it very hard. He also liked the fact that you could see the penguins swimming thru a window.

The zoo is not very big, but big enough for the price, $8 for us. Liam was free to get in. We really enjoyed it and hope one day we can go with you guys. Enjoy the pics!!

1 month

I still feel like it was a week or two when we arrived!! I still have stuff in boxes to get orginezed and all my decor to hang up!
The apartment is looking way better though, they steam cleaned the carpet and it looks 100% better and doesnt smell like cigarretes anymore! Yahoo!!! I sure hope by christmas the house is organized!!

At the beginning of the month, we went down to New Jersey for Liam to meet my family. The drive was gorgeous and we made it down in less than 4 hours. They all loved Liam and he especially loved the extra hands to carry him around and all the atention. He was really good all the way there and back, and he didnt even wake up! He also went to his first "soccer practice" with my twin nieces.
Liam is growing so much! He smiles widely and follows us around the room. He recognizes when Kyle gets home from school and is starting to reach his arm towards the mobile.

Kyle is doing good; busy with school, but enjoying it. He has a friend in the program that is LDS and we have hung out with him and his wife a couple times. Its fun to finally meet someone, and go out. They have a 2 year old boy and a newborn baby girl. We also hung out with some of his program friends and enjoyed some tasty food from Turkey!

We miss you guys and wish we could be closer!
Here I leave you with some cute pictures!!

Already a month old

I can't believe how fast time passes by when you have so many blessings in your life. I still remember when we got the call from the hospital to let us know they were ready for us, to induce me. The feeling I had while getting ready and driving to the hospital. So excited to see him, meet him and connect with him. I remember the love, support, and peace that Kyle's presence brought me that day. I experienced almost all feelings that day, including deception and sadness, but all of them where replaced by feeling complete once I saw him for the first time.
Now a month has passed by and I can truly say that I have enjoyed every bit of it. From feeling overwhelmed, not knowing what to do, to the smiles, coos and diapers!
I'm happy to report that Liam weights 10 pounds 14 ounces (gained 3 pounds in a month!!) and measures 21.5 inches long. He is a very observant little guy who enjoys to talk, sign, and dance with me. He loves to take naps on daddy's chest and to swing in his little swing. For the most part, he wakes up every 3-4 hours at night time and goes right back to sleep. He still pays tons of attention to his surroundings and to faces, loves bath time, specially when we wash his hair, and smiles to you if he thinks what you are saying is funny. He has learned to push himself up with his feet. He also keeps his head up and tries to reach the mobile toys with his hands!! Sometimes, me and Kyle think he's too smart for being just a month old!!
We miss you guys a lot, and we are so sorry that you can't see him grow. Please know that we talk about you guys to him all the time and he will grow up knowing that he has an amazing family in Utah and Italy.
